September 1 Honor guard practice for High Mass, 6 PM at
Holy Family
Sept. 2 Monthly rosary at Holy Family, 6 PM
Sept. 8 Business meeting 7 PM
Sept. 9 KofC High Mass at Holy Family Church, 6pm
Sept. 20th Blue Mass at Basilica 10:30am
Sept. 22th Officers Meeting, 6 PM. followed by business
meeting at 7 PM.
Sept. 25, 26, 27 Southern Maine KofC Catholic Men”s Retreat at Camp Mechuwana, Winthrop. (See ad)
As you can see things are starting to move along. Please sign up for as many events as you can to make them a success.
Let us all pray for our former Grand Knight Bruce, his family and his wife Mary Ellen. Also for Brother Jim Daigle, Norm Lebel and Henry St.Pierre. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Bottle Drive – Support Catholic Youth
All funds received from our bottle account are dedicated to prize money for the KofC Catholic Citizenship Essay Contest for our Catholic youth. Roopers on Sabattus Street has an account set up for Holy Family KC — just tell the attendant you would like the refunds put into the “Holy Family KC” account. Thank you for your participation! Prayer for Vocations
Loving Father, you sent your Son so that all might come to know the truth and be saved. With the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, you continue his work through the Church. Your Son reminded his disciples that the harvest was indeed plentiful but the laborers few. Following his instructions, we beg you to call many to ordained ministry and religious life. Grant them the grace to hear you and to respond wholeheartedly. May Mary Immaculate, the mother of your Son and the patroness of our diocese, intercede for us. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Seminarian News
Our council is proud to sponsor seminarians preparing for the priesthood. Seminarian Vinh Nguyen was ordained to the transitional diaconate by Bishop James Ruggieri on Saturday, June 13, at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Portland. “I feel so blessed. This will change my life forever,” said Nguyen following the ordination Mass.
Our seminarians are currently on their summer assignments. Here at Prince of Peace, we are fortunate to have Nicholas Hershbine until August. If you see him, say hi and let him know we are praying for his success!

A Message from Your Faithful Navigator – Assembly 2516
Worthy Sir Knights,
At our meeting on September 8, we will be honoring Father Michael Sevigny with the 4th degree Certificate and his lapel pin. It would be a great moment if you could be there and support Father Michael.
On September 9, at Holy Family Church, 6pm, the District 10 Knights of Columbus are joining together to hold a special High Mass for all the great things the Knights and their families have done throughout the year. Their will be a social gathering with food and refreshments after the mass. We would love to have you all come and socialize!
If you are a member of Assembly 2516 and would like to join our honor guard but need assistance in purchasing the new uniform, contact us, we can help. We also have accessories to outfit you as an honor guard member, including swords.
